Is there really a creature or its a human pretending to be a creature? Watch Aranyak to find out

The Indian film industry has never been so good when it comes to mythical or mysterious creatures to be really very honest. Very few movies like Tumbbad have been able to do justice to this kind of fictional creature. But I think it's all gonna change with the very new series that was released this week on Netflix, Aranyak. It's a suspenseful, mysterious, crime thriller and exciting series which is based on a mythical creature who has returned back after 19 years. But the question is, is it really a creature or a human pretending to be one?

About the Series -

Based on the mysterious creature - Leopard man (Nar tendua), Aranyak covers the story of a small town where a murder occurs in the same way as it occurred 19 years ago and everybody in the town gets scared as they think the mysterious creature is back to hunt again. The police starts to investigate the murder which leads to the answers of many unanswered questions, past and a question of the existence of the creature. The series marks the OTT debut of Raveena Tandon and no doubt this is one of the best debuts ever.

Review -

This crime mystery thriller is going to make you sit on the edge and make you binge-watch it due to its suspenseful episode endings. The way the story unfolds, it would just amaze you. There would be times when you feel like it's easy to guess a few things but trust me, you would be proved wrong haha!!! But there are so many unexpected things in the series and that's what excited me the most. The flow of the series, the way it is made, the storyline is super strong, the acting is on point, excellent casting and Raveena Tandon has literally nailed her role. The series also covers how some people can wrongfully use the rumors and how politics works in our society. Well with the kind of ending we got and the response the show is getting, I am pretty sure there's gonna be second season and we might get to see it maybe next year or in early 2023. Well all we can do is wait, right? While the series got many things correct, there were times when it felt a little slow. Also I did wish that there were some epic dialogues, something that just stucks in the viewer's mind but apart from that, its really a worth watching and binge watching show and a must watch for people who are into crime thrillers and suspense.

Now with the concept of mysterious characters, it's India's initial takes and in no way we can compare it to other biggies like stranger things but with the way the show ended, I really hope they get certain things right in their next season including their potray of the mysterious character. So far we only know that the mysterious creature is half human half leopard (tendua) and thus the name 'Nar tendua' (leopard man) who goes for a hunt during chandra grahan (Lunar Eclipse). This might sound similar to that of werewolves but with the hints so far, I think they arent shape shifters. Well these are just initial guesses, lets wait for the official announcement for the renewal and then the second season.
